Ashley Carter
Ashley is an accomplished dancer, teacher, and choreographer, with extensive training in New York and diverse experience in ballet, lyrical, modern, tap, hip-hop, contemporary, and musical theatre. She has performed and choreographed at prestigious venues such as Jacob's Pillow, Teatro Madrid, Battery Dance Festival, and New York City SummerStage. Ashley is currently on faculty at Ballet Academy East and Ellison Ballet in New York and has taught at various institutions worldwide, including in Mexico, Spain, and Hawaii.
Her choreography credits include working for DoubleTake Dance, a company she co-directs, which has performed at the City Parks Summerstage festival, Battery Dance Festival, and the ACLU’s 100th birthday celebration. She has collaborated with high-profile artists such as Ricky Martin, Nicki Minaj, and NeYo, and her work has been featured in commercials for brands like Nike, Microsoft, and Lush Cosmetics. Ashley’s film and stage credits include "West Side Story," Sia’s "Soon We Will Be Found," and Justin Timberlake's feature film appearance.
Her recent projects include performances with Caroline Calouche & Co., choreography for “Planets” and “Vivaldi,” and touring the contemporary ballet "The Queen of Nöri." Ashley's choreography has been commissioned by the Dancing Wheels Company, HT Chen's NewSteps, and others. Known for her dynamic and award-winning choreography, Ashley is sought after both in the U.S. and internationally.
